While working on our bridal fashion photoshoot for the March issue at in Pontiac, we couldn鈥檛 help but pull out our phones and take photos of the building鈥檚 stunning interior architecture, from the large Palladian windows that flooded the room with natural light to the coffered, honeycomb, gold-leaf ceiling that look like something that would be on display at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
The events venue, which holds about 70 weddings a year (as well as corporate functions, social events, and more), is designed by those responsible for some of Detroit鈥檚 most iconic buildings, like the Penobscot and Detroit Opera House 鈥 Smith Hinchman and Grylls. It opened as a bank in 1921 and was crafted with elaborate Art Deco features that have remained over 100 years later, including beautiful scroll columns and gold floral detailing within the arched pathways.
The bank鈥檚 vault, located below the main level, also remains and has become a popular photoshoot spot for wedding couples who are able to enter and pose in front of the safety deposit boxes, standing or sitting in tufted, leather furniture.

The Treasury, which has been holding weddings since 2018, gives couples exclusive use of the entire venue, whether they鈥檇 like to hold the reception on the main floor and the ceremony on the second floor or vice versa. Depending on which spaces you鈥檇 like to utilize, the venue can accommodate up to 500 people.
The building also has seven Airbnb lofts that can accommodate 32 overnight guests, a bridal suite with a hair washing and get-ready station, and a groom鈥檚 suite with comfortable seating, a shuffleboard, and poker table.
